What we sell
- Tourist Tax Pack, a one-off digital download: a plain-English guide, a spreadsheet calculator, a booking record sheet, guest wording, a Wales registration checklist and a deadline calendar, plus free updated files when the rules change.
- Tourist Tax Keeper, an online tool that reads your Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo booking file (or stays you add by hand), works out the visitor levy figures for each return month by month, keeps a record of each booking, and reminds you, through a calendar you add to your phone, before each return and payment deadline. It includes the Tourist Tax Pack. Monthly or yearly subscription.
Tourist Tax Keeper plans
- Holiday lets: £9 a month for your first property and £5 a month for each extra property, or £90 a year for your first property and £50 a year for each extra property.
- B&Bs, guest houses and hotels: £1.50 a room a month, or £15 a room a year, with a minimum of 6 rooms.
- Letting agents and managers: £4 a property a month, with a minimum of 8 properties.
- Wales, once-a-year filers: £39 a year per property, for Welsh properties where the levy is £1,000 or less a year and one return is filed each year.
Monthly plans start with one free month. If you cancel before the free month ends, you pay nothing. You choose your plan inside the app, and the price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
Not tax or legal advice
Our calculator, pack and tools give general information based on the published law and official council and Welsh Revenue Authority guidance at the date shown. They are not tax or legal advice. Tourist Tax Keeper does not file or pay your return for you: you file it yourself on visitorlevy.scot or with the Welsh Revenue Authority. You remain responsible for your own return, for the figures you enter or upload, and for marking any exempt or cancelled bookings correctly. Where a rule is unclear (for example how a platform's guest fee is treated), ask the council, the Welsh Revenue Authority or an accountant.
Fees, refunds and your right to cancel
If you buy as a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel. For the pack, you ask us to give you access straight away and you agree that you lose the right to cancel once the download is made available, as allowed by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If a file is faulty or missing, email us and we will fix it or refund you.
Accuracy promise for Tourist Tax Keeper. If the figures Tourist Tax Keeper gives you do not match the official council or Welsh Revenue Authority guidance (as it stood on the date shown in the tool) for the bookings you gave us, email us. We will fix the figures within 2 working days of confirming the error, and refund the fee you paid for the billing period those figures belong to (one month on a monthly plan, or the year on a yearly plan). This promise covers our sums. It does not cover figures that are wrong because a booking was entered, uploaded or marked incorrectly, or because the guidance changed after that date. It does not limit your other legal rights.
Subscriptions
Tourist Tax Keeper renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If you buy as a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of first subscribing for a full refund. You can download your records at any time, and we delete them when you delete your account. We update the rules in the tool, free, when the official guidance changes.
Our responsibility
We take reasonable care to keep the tools accurate and available. We are not liable for penalties, interest or losses caused by returns you did not file or pay on time, information you entered or uploaded wrongly, or changes to the law or guidance after the date shown. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability to a business customer is limited to the amount it paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
